In order to promote environmental technologies and industrial cooperation between China and U.S, Foreign Environmental Cooperation Office of Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (FECO MEP) hosted the China – U.S Clean Technology Exchange Dialogue on June.20th 2016, in Beijing. During the meeting, U.S. – China Cleantech Center (UCCTC) and FECO officially signed the MOU. UCCTC will become FECO’s U.S partner to build the 3iPET (International Environmental Technology Platform) together, in addition to working together on environmental policies research, clean technology incubation, and business engagement between enterprises in both countries.

Present at the signing ceremony were representatives from the following: U.S Embassy Commercial Services, Paulson Institute, U.S China Energy Cooperation Program, China Energy Conservation And Environmental Protection Group, Terex, Dow Chemical Company, Xylem, Johnson Controls, Agilent Technologies, Biocleaner, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Ingersoll Rand Inc. etc.

Mr. Liang Chen, the director of FECO MEP attended and spoke at the event. He mentioned that the U.S. has many advanced environmental technologies. It is therefore important to strengthen the cooperation between China and the U.S. During the meeting, Dr. Feng An, the president of UCCTC, summarized the work that was done between the two organizations in the past year, expressed his excitement about the agreement and laid out his visions for the scope and depth of cooperation in the coming years.

As the main hub for 3iPET international cooperation in the U.S, UCCTC will continue to bring more advanced resources and technologies to China. The goal is to promote China-U.S technologies exchange, to help U.S. clean technologies and companies to expand into China, and to discover opportunities and develop Sino-U.S cooperation in environmental technology industry.
